0 + '13' + remaining nine digits of local Mobile Phone number

Local Calls:  Dial the local four- to eight-digit number.

A call from a Mobile Phone in Beijing to a fixed line in Beijing:
Dial the local four- to eight-digit number

Local Calls:  Dial 3-digit Mobile Phone prefix + remaining eight + remaining nine digits of local Mobile Phone number.

A call from a Mobile Phone in Beijing to a Mobile Phone in Beijing:|
0 + '13' + remaining  nine digits of local Mobile Phone number

Long Distance:  Dial China's DAC + 3-digit Mobile Phone prefix + remaining eight digits of local Mobile Phone number.

Example

A call from a fixed line in Beijing to a cell phone in Shanghai:
0 + '134' + remaining eight digits of local cell phone number

Long Distance: Dial the DAC + area code + local number.

Example

A call from a cell phone in Beijing to a fixed line in Shanghai: 0 + (21) + local four- to eight-digit number

Long Distance:  Dial 3-digit cell phone prefix + remaining eight digits of local cell phone number.

A call from a cell phone in Beijing to a cell phone in Shanghai:
0 + '134' + remaining eight digits of local cell phone number

International Calls: Dial China's IAC + country code of country being dialed + area code (or) cell phone prefix + local cell phone number.*

A call from a fixed line in China to a cell phone in San Francisco, USA:
00 + [1] + (415) + local seven-digit cell phone number

International Calls: Dial China's IAC + country code of country being dialed + area code (or) cell phone prefix + local number.*

A call from a cell phone in China to a fixed line in San Francisco, USA:
00 + [1] + (415) + local seven-digit number

International Calls: Dial China's IAC + country code of country being dialed + area code (or) cell phone prefix + local cell phone number.*

A call from a cell phone in China to a cell phone in San Francisco, USA:
00 + [1] + (415) + local seven-digit cell phone number

*Note: Some countries have a unique dialing sequence for incoming calls to cell phones. Refer to the Cell Phone Dialing Guide for the country you are calling.


  1. Cell phone numbers in China contain eleven digits. The first three digits signify the cellular network to which the number belongs.

    134  -  China Mobile
    135  -  China Mobile
    136  -  China Mobile
    137  -  China Mobile
    138  -  China Mobile
    139  -  China Mobile
    159  -  China Mobile
    130  -  China Unicom
    131  -  China Unicom
    132  -  China Unicom
    153  -  China Unicom
    133  -  China Unicom
     
  2. When calling a cell phone from a fixed line phone within China, always dial the Domestic Access Code '0' before the eleven-digit number. Do not dial this access code when calling from another country. When calling a cell phone from another cell phone within China, omit the Domestic Access Code '0' and simply dial the cell phone number.  
  3. When making an international call to a cell phone in China, dial:   China's country code [86] + cell phone prefix + remaining eight digits of local cell phone number.
